How Should I Pack My Hand Baggage Efficiently?

Do you want to travel in a budget? So, pack your hand baggage the correct way! This is particularly important if you're traveling on a budget airline, which likes to charge extra fees to people who can't pack their luggage. Before you start packing, make sure you read the important & informative fine print. Here's how you can pack it properly:

Rules For Packing Hand Baggage:

  • • Instead of a suitcase, take a backpack - It's more flexible,' and before the flight, you can put on a few extra pieces of clothing to make your bag smaller,
  • • take out what you really can't live without, and want to purchase some items after arriving at your destination.
  • • Put cosmetics (including creams, shampoos, etc.) in small containers available at Pharmaceutical stores, and don't ignore the restrictions on liquids.
  • • For years, people have been looking for the best way to fold clothes-the answer is clear, just roll everything up and put your stuff as close as possible.
  • • Take items on top of your bag that need to be removed during the airport protection search (cosmetics, tablets, etc.).
  • • Place your travel documents in the outer pocket of your bag.

What Should Be The Maximum Size Of My Hand Baggage?

Each airline has its own rules for the amount, weight and size, of hand baggage. There are also security rules that all travelers must adhere to.

  • • The maximum size limit for most budget airlines is 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
  • • The maximum weight limit for the most budget & traditional airlines is 8 kg.
  • • Normally, only one piece of baggage is permitted on board the plane.
  1.  Budget airlines typically do not offer a baggage allowance to babies. Accessories, including baby food, are taken by guardians of the child, who do not get an additional allowance for hand baggage
  2.  It can be taken as checked baggage if your hand baggage exceeds the limits, as long as it follows the applicable rules.
  3.  Contact your airline for more information on baggage allowances.

What Should I Take In My Hand Baggage?

Valuables, jewelry, papers, and money are types of things you can carry onboard. During the flight, registered baggage can get hurt, so delicate things such as cameras, laptops, or glass objects should also go in your hand baggage.

Is It Appropriate For Me To Include Food Or Drink In My Carry-On Luggage?

Don't forget about the restrictions on liquids that you can carry onboard while packing your hand baggage. Drinks, liquid foods, cosmetics, and other products fall under this group. Creams, gels, aerosols, shaving foams, toothpaste, and lotions are all protected by strict laws. The transport of liquids in containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml is only allowed. All containers must fit in a plastic see-through bag no larger than 1 liter in length.

There are some exceptions to these laws, such as baby food and medications required by the passenger during the flight.

The transport of food inside the USA boundaries does not have any limitations. Sandwiches, pastries, cookies, sausages, fruit and vegetables, and other things are available to take.

Should I Take My Laptop?

Many airlines (mostly traditional) allow one additional piece of baggage as hand luggage. Usually, these are things like:

  • • a bag for a laptop (with a charger and a mouse)
  • • a camera (in a separate bag or hand baggage)
  • • Another tiny electrical appliance (telephone, mp3 player, portable game consoles, etc.) umbrella
  • • few reading materials (but not your whole library)
  • • handbags (whose content will be examined during the airport security checking).

Since most budget airlines don't allow you to carry any extra baggage on board, anything we've mentioned so far must fit in one piece of hand luggage. The key points, as described above, will also help you to pack your hand baggage efficiently and properly.
